Myers Park is one of Charlotte’s first neighborhoods, and continues to be heralded as a flagship community today! Sought out by young and old, its a favorite for all that live here as well as those that have an opportunity to visit the Queen City of Charlotte.

The laid-back nature of this upscale community delivers a sense of calm the moment you enter it. Folks jog and birds tweet, whilst the estate sized lots sit back and soak it all in. The community beckons out to you as Queens Road rambles on through it, and while the homes are gorgeous, so is the campus that is settled into the middle of it. That would be Queens College, stationed here in the early 1900s.

The homes you find here are nestled under the towering Oak trees, in a sea of tranquility with center city Charlotte just steps away. Prestigious and convenient, here you’ll enjoy the best of the old and the new!

As for the building style, it varies from lot to lot, as is the nature of custom built homes. Here youll find a bit of every type of style imaginable. Most notably, most of the homes not only grace us with their unique architectural beauty, but by the landscaping, shrubs, vines and trees perfecting their very existence.

And, you can sure that more than a few of the original Myers Park homes have been listed as local, state and/or national historical buildings. And, others (that were not quite up to par) have been either replaced or completely renovated to blend in with their neighbors.

Its first home owners (many, now in their eighties) recall when the dirt roads leading to their homes (back in the day) were laughed at and considered too far out into the countryside of Charlotte. Now, it claims itself as one of the closest and the best of Charlottes communities.

The location is occupied by doctors, lawyers along with political big wigs, as well as those on the move.

The towering Oak trees set the stage; these trees are some of Charlotte’s most cherished treasures. The street itself is on the historical registry-just for the trees!

If you’re one of those interested in living within the Myers Park district, youre probably curious as to what sort of amenities come with it.

The main thing is Freedom Park.

Freedom Park is actually Charlotte’s most well known parks-their biggest and their best. It sports a large lake encircled by sidewalks, wonderful rolling topography, plus a cool suspension bridge. Use the bridge to go and check out Charlotte’s Nature Museum or take at walk on over to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway.

Freedom Park also comes with a few park essentials, like these: a recreation space, soccer as well as baseball grounds; volley ball, tennis and basketball courts; and a great stationary train, waiting for kids to crawl on it.

Events are scheduled throughout the year, along with city fairs, which also happen throughout the course of a year. Freedom Park is a great place to wander off to any day of the year, and for those that have homes in Myers Park, its good every day of the year!
